Dixie Blackened Voodoo

The Beerman had to suffer through two years without seeing this beer after Katrina. It's a nice, dark, malty beer that isn't too heavy for summer. nd it has a kick-ass label.

Best served with; Almost anything but especially Cajun food.

Doggie Style Pale Ale

This stuff gave the Beerman bitter beer face, and he liked it. Definitely not for the faint-of-heart, this dry ale has some serious industrial-strength hoppiness. And Flying Dog brews has cool recipes on their website.

Best served with: Burgers, brats, pizza, and appetizers

Don de Dieu

A bottle-refermented triple wheat white ale on lees. A smooth, warm, partially-filtered wheat beer with a slightly sweet fruit flavour (Canadian spellings are beauty, eh?) and slight cloudiness. It ages well; its shelf life is over two years. At 9% C2H5OH (that's alcohol for you Coors Light drinkers), it can really sneak up on you so be careful if you serve it to Grandma. The Beerman discovered this ale in a variety pack while watching a tornadic thunderstorm in Ohio so it will always be memorable.

Best served with; Meats and cheeses or as a dessert.

Dortmunder Gold

An award-winning smooth, full-bodied lager that tastes crisper than its 30IBU (International Bitterness Units) rating due to its Cascade and Hallertau hops. The Beerman first had this brew on tap at a small family style Italian restaurant. The beer was the center of everyone's attention.

Best served with; Meats and pasta.
